Preparations for Haughton-Mars Project Field Season on Devon Island Are Under Way
27 June 2009: An Air National Guard C-130 out of Long Island, New York at the Vancouver international airport being loaded wthh gear before the flight to Resolute Bay in the Canadian high arctic. Along with the gear, the flight will include the core HMP participants from the Mars Institute and Simon Fraser University.

Mars Institute's Moon-1 Humvee Rover As it Ends Its Historic Journey
The Northwest Passage Drive Expedition's Moon-1 Humvee Rover makes landfall in Cambridge Bay on 17 April 2009 after a record-breaking 8-day, 494 km journey on sea-ice, the longest sea-ice traverse ever conducted in a road vehicle. Expedition teams members were warmly greeted by the Cambridge Bay community and by the hamlet's mayor, Michelle Gillis, who met with the team at the "beach".

Haughton-Mars Project Logistics Manager Job Opening
Qualified applicants must: a) be Canadian citizens or permanent residents in Canada ... The successful applicant will play a key role in an exciting, unique, and cutting-edge international effort to advance the exploration of the Earth, moon, Mars, and space. The HMP Logistics Manager will be required to be based in Canada and work mainly from his/her private home in the Vancouver, BC, area. Home office connectivity and employment-required operations costs (excluding rent) will be supported directly by the Mars Institute.

HMP-2008 Report 22 August 2008: HMP 2008 Field Season at an End
If all goes well today the last of the HMP 2008 participants will leave Resolute today headed south to their various homes. It's been our longest and best field season ever with an incredible amount of research conducted in a short time. We still have many reports and images to post so keep coming by for a visit.
