Preparations for Haughton-Mars Project Field Season on Devon Island Are Under Way

27 June 2009: An Air National Guard C-130 out of Long Island, New York at the Vancouver international airport being loaded wthh gear before the flight to Resolute Bay in the Canadian high arctic. Along with the gear, the flight will include the core HMP participants from the Mars Institute and Simon Fraser University.

NASA Sounding Rocket Launch With Student Payloads Successful

Nearly 100 university instructors and students saw their experiments rise to the sky at 5:30 a.m. this morning (26 June) with the successful launch of a NASA suborbital sounding rocket from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. 

Celebrating Apollo

NASA has announced a schedule of events to commemorate the achievements of the Apollo program and the 40th anniversary of the first lunar landing. Among the activities is a news conference with astronauts from several Apollo missions scheduled for 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. EDT, July 20, in the James Webb Auditorium at NASA Headquarters in Washington.
